The McCrarys
Originalmente de Youngstown, Ohio, The McCrarys consistia dos irmãos Linda, Alfred, Caridade, Sam e Howard McCrary. Em 1972, o quinteto lançou um álbum gospel, Sunshine Day pela Light Records. Quando o grupo mudou-se do Evangelho à música secular, em meados da década de 1970, Howard deixou o grupo para continuar no evangelho.
O grupo se mudou para Los Angeles e gravou uma série de álbuns de R & B no final de 1970 e início de 1980. Seu maior sucesso foi “You ” (escrito por Alfred, Linda e McCrary Sam), que contou com gaita de Stevie Wonder.
Sue 2º álbum foi lançado em 1979, On the Other Side. Entrou em Top 40 do R & B o single, “Lost in Loving You”. A canção foi escrita por Alfred McCrary, McCrary Linda e Tucker Sundray.
O album Just for You lançdo em de 1980 não foi tão bem sucedido quanto seus lançamentos anteriores, a canção “Any Ol ‘Sunday ” (escrito por Linda e McCrary Alfred) se tornou um single de sucesso para Chaka Khan em seu album de 1981 What Cha ‘ Gonna Do for Me .
Howard McCrary não aparecem no album All Music Night de 1982. Este álbum trazia o single, “Love on a Summer Night”.
